Many of you out there have probably been lusting over that new bike that just seems to be out of reach, or maybe you just have too many bikes taking up space that prevent you from getting that dream ride. One of the obstacles in purchasing a new bike that we often hear is “What do I do with my old bike?” or “I need to sell my old bike first”.

We have heard your concerns and we are here to help. We are organizing a spring bicycle swap on Saturday April 18th 2020, from 10am-5pm. This is a great opportunity to make room in your garage for that new bike you have been waiting for or get yourself a great deal on a used bike. Bring us your bike, price it to sell, and let’s get you going on a new ride!

Bring Your Bike On Time

Bring your bike into the store anytime (sooner the better) up until the Thursday before the swap . There will be no day-of registration or drop-off. Registration is now taking place at the store.

Price To Sell

Pick your price! The selling price you indicate should be your “best price” and cannot be changed once your item is registered. Remember, you must price it to move it! Think new bike thoughts…

Sale Day

Saturday April 18th will be the day the swap takes place. We will be on site to help sell your bike. Come in between 10am and 5pm to see what we have to offer.

Your Bike Sells!

If we sell your bike, you have two options. (1) 100% of the selling price (before HST) added to your Neworld store credit. (2) 80% of the selling price (before HST) as a cheque. Credit and/or cheques will be available by Saturday April 25th, 2020. Credit applicable to regular priced merchandise only.

General Information

Neworld staff will be on hand to help with advice and general information about the bikes being offered for sale. Bikes are being sold on consignment and we are not able to discount further. All sales are final. Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard, debit or cash. HST will be charged on all sales. Bikes will be priced to move so come early for best selection.

What Bikes Will Be There?

We expect to have a variety of quality used bikes consisting of mostly road, mountain and triathlon including several amazing deals on new bikes! We will not have any department store quality bike or kids bikes to offer. The best selection is available in the morning and good deals will go quickly. Come early for the best deals.

How Do I find Out If My Bike Has Sold?

We will contact you after the swap to let you know! If your bike is sold, we will add 100% of the sale amount to your store account. Otherwise you may choose to collect 80% of the total sale amount by cheque at the store. Credit and/or cheques will be available by Saturday April 25th, 2020.

What If My Bike Doesn't Sell?

If your bike is not sold, it is your responsibility to pick it up within 1 week of the swap. Any items not picked up by Thursday April 23rd, 2020 will be donated to Rolling Horse Community Cycle. Neworld Cycle is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items.
